Levels of Boundaries

‘Entangled’

  • The CSW is consistently over-involved, and may be investing more of their time, emotional energy or favour in the client relationship to meet their own emotional, social or physical needs at the expense of the client.

‘Rigid’

  • The CSW barrels ahead with their own agenda inflexibly, condescendingly, and without attending to the unique needs of the client.

‘Balanced’

  • The CSW is authentic and caring, while maintaining clear boundaries. They remain aware of their position and take care to neither exploit their clients’ vulnerabilities nor infringe on their rights.
